I did make the cake! The little flowers are made out of gum paste. You just roll it out and use a flower shapped cookie cutter. Michael sells kits. It is so easy even my daughter's have helped (7 & 6). We made a second cake for the party with the grandparents and it was white frosting and pink flowers. My girls made all of the flowers and placed them on the cake. They did a nice job. Here are some pictures of other cakes I've made: Fairy Cake, Banana Cake, Flower Cake, Spongebob's House and Hotdog Cakes!

I was already to make DD hair bows for her 1st birthday but those hats have me thinking otherwise. They are fantastic and the cakes are even better. Yummy!

Those are great! You did a wonderful job, I'm sure those girls will love their hats for a long time to come. I made my oldest daughter a fairy hat out of green felt and sewed leaves and flowers all over it when she was about seven and it is still being played with by her younger sisters now (many, many years later). It's amazing how long something like that can last and still look good.
