Now, I don't have any wide headbands, so here is a question. How large do they stretch. DD is 6 months old, would it fit her?

Melanie
I checked the link but it doesn't show how to make them

For anyone who's made one of these, HOW exactly do you make them? Keep in mind, I've never even made a regular tutu. My SIL has a 2 wk. old baby and wants to make one for her baby. I'm trying to find out HOW in the world these are made. Any help/tips, etc., would be GREAT!! THANKS!!

Are the straps sewn on? I made mine with tulle but want to try something different I also used a 7.5 inch waffle hat here is a pic using my upset 13 month old DD. My hubby says it should only be for newborns cause it makes her look like a hussy! I think she looks cute just my opinion.

this is how i do mine i take the tulle the lenght i want it doubled and i tie them the same way you tie a regular tutu but i use the squares in the waffle band i use any where from one per square up to three( mind you it gets kinda tight at that point) and i go around i make them less fluffy for newborns some times i will take and sew on my sewing machine a broken zig zag to kinda give it more staying power. not an absolute step though. and for the ties i take the lenght i want ribbon and double it and find the center point and tie it throught one of the squares also. FYI i would go down one row just to give it a little more durability. i hope this helps OM me if theres any more questions

I have decided to make a witch and an angel for my 5 year old and my soon to be 1 year old. Was wondering how many knots you would have for a full halter style dress with the tulle being up for the chest area and being down for the floor length style? Does anyone know?
