Default Single Prong vs. Double Prong clips?

Morning, ladies! Quick question: what is the main difference between single/double prong clips? Is there a benefit to using one over the other? Is one better than another as far as the size of the bow, etc?

Thanks!

Sarah

I have wondered this too as I bought the double clip when I was first starting out and that's the only thing I've used. Should I be using a single at times, or is double all the time okay? I get them at Sally's - are singles cheaper?

I was using only single, but one time I decided to try double. I like how the plain ribbon clips look with them, so I use double for them now. I use single for everything else, but I don't make any large bows. I'm thinking maybe single would be easier to stick in pigtails/ponytails?

I think they are the same price at sallys. I have never used the double prong only the single.

I started out using singles, then changed to doubles, just to see for myself. I wish I could give you an actual reason, but I like the double prong better, just when it comes to making them.

I use double prong for basic 'clippies, and single prong for bows. Like Judy - I like single prong when used with woven headbands, and personally, I think single works better with pony tails.

I like double prong better for the clippies because the 3/8" ribbon covers them PERFECTLY. I just like the finished product better.

I also like single prong partially lined, and double prong fully lined.

Thanks so much for the replies--I only have single but maybe I will buy a pack of double and play around with them to see what works better for me.

Thanks again!

Sarah
