~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I just received some ribbon that I bought and it smells. It doesn't smell like smoke but it has a very strong smell to it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can freshen it up?
is it a huge amount? if not, wash it in the pillowcase as suggested above. Otherwise, I'm not sure what will freshen it up.
Yeah, if you go the washing machine route, put vinegar in the spot where you would normally put liquid fabric softener - it is safe for the machine, and gets the smell right out! (This works on that "moldy" smell on clothes that you get if you leave them in the washer all day, too
It is a lot of ribbon - 10 colors - 5 years each. It is grosgrain striped ribbon. I might have to wash it. I think I have too much of it to fabreeze it. I guess I could also try and hang it in my garage. I might have to use the drill trick to wind it back up again.
