Default Columbia blue sequin fabric for cheer bows?

Hello! This is only my second post here. I'm coming out of lurkdom because I am up a creek without a paddle. I volunteered myself to make bows for my daughters cheer team. What in the world was I thinking? I only make bows for my girls for fun, and this isn't fun anymore, to much pressure.

There uniform is Columbia blue, yellow and white. I cannot find a columbia blue sequin fabric anywhere. Does anyone know where I could find some? Thanks in advance!

I get mine from syfabrics.com BUT check their ebay store first (I think it's just 'syfabrics') since they have slightly better prices AND much better shipping.

I just made 20 5-layer cheer bows consisting of 2.25" grosgrain with the sequins on top, then 1.5" grosgrain, 7/8" grosgrain, and 3/8" silver lurex sparkle ribbon. Wow! What a pain! They did look great though, just like the super pricey ones from yellaribbon.com.

I ended up using the elmer's spray glue to adhere the sequin fabric to the base 2.25" grosgrain...is this how it's supposed to be done? I tried wonder under but I couldn't get the iron hot enough to melt the interfacing through the thick grosgrain. Then when I tried to press it from the front, all the little sequin dots came off and stuck to my iron LOL Duh!

Anyone have other gluing advice for that sequin material? I'd love to hear other strategies

Just cut up a pillowcase and put it in between the sequins and your iron and the sequins won't stick or fall off
