Default Flower Clip Questions

I have read all over this forum that for many of you, the flower clips are your best seller. Which is a bummer to me because they are the least creative thing I have lol But I was wondering, do you just buy the flowers and attach clips on them and then sell them as a set with a crochet headband (or kufi)? Do you take them apart and reassemble them in prettier color combos? I'm not sure what to do with them but I want to do more than just buy and sell them, I would like to do some kind of creative thing with them! Thanks!

I buy some of my flower clips from the floral department I rip them a part, sometimes I mix and math colors or times I just re arrange them and hot glur the layers together and add some sort if Gem to the center. I also buy some flowers from the scrapbook section of a store (not the paper flowers) but the silk. Some of them even have glitter on them which is fun to mix and match colors. I agree with you tho I like the more creative side of this "job"

I don't sell flowers, but also keep thinking if they are such a big seller, maybe I should start too.

I buy flowers, take all the plastic off, glue them together and throw on a lined clip with a 24mm acrylic center (usually clear). I dont sell with headbands, but I do sell interchangeable head bands too (crochet, foe, skinny, etc..). They FLY off the table here.

haha, i too sell a lot of the flowers and I like you, i almost cant believe i sell the things because they are so uncreative! its like the easiest thing ever. I take out all the plastics and glue each layer together. I put a lot of acrylic rhinestones in the center. Get bigger ones. like 22mm or bigger. sometimes I find fancy centers in the scrapbook section ill use, or a pretty button. I sew the holes in the button too if they are showing. looks so much nicer than glue sticking through.

Wow this is interesting, lol! I have a bunch of flower clips and crochet headbands that someone gave me when my DD was born, for her photo shoot (I see much cuter stuff now, tho! Guess I gotta have another baby!) and I kinda don't like them that much. I don't like clipping the flower to the headband and wondering if the bottom of the clip was bugging her.... But I guess if older girls are buying them then that doesn't matter. I guess I will be working on some flower clips!

I too am amazed that these sell when compared to all the other cute stuff out there, but they do. I take apart all of my flowers and reglue or sew them together (depends on the kind). Sometimes I will even combine them with other things. Last night I took apart a very ugly (in my opinion) flower. I cut it down a little (as it was huge) and then layered some singed petals in. The result is a much prettier flower. I also now feel better selling that item at a handmade show because I really did hand make it.
