Default Double-Sided Tape - Fillet vs. Specialty?

About a year ago, I purchased two different types of double-sided tape from two different group buys. One worked AWESOME. The other didn't stick permanently and also, the backing kept getting stuck and not tearing off well, so that I had to take a pin and scrape it off in places. Very annoying. I'm in need of some more double-sided tape, but I'm leery after my last experience. I really want more of the kind that worked well, but for the life of me, I can't recall which was which. Pretty sure one of the buys was for "specialty" brand tape, the other for "fillet."

Just curious which one everyone here prefers and if they know where to get some?

Thanks so much!

The Specialty Tapes one is called Fillet Tape - Specialty Tapes is the brand and Fillet is the name of the tape. So you'd need to get more specifics to figure out which one was which from the two different buys you purchased from.

I've never heard of "fillet" tape. I thought the Specialty Tapes brand double sided tape was called "Tuff Tape, d670".

I use the Specialty brand tape too and love it.

I was in the group buy a while ago for the crappy one (brown & made by 3m), and hated it so much. It sticks to itself and is just way inferior to the others. I almost threw it away, but then realized that it would work perfectly for when I line hard headbands with ribbon.
