My 1st item

I began wanting to learn to sew a few months ago & my mom just recently gave me her old sewing machine. Well, yesterday, she came over to show the basics. We ended up sewing a dress each for my twin daughters. I know it is not much (and is probably the easiest thing to sew) but I proud of it because it is my 1st item to sew. We did not shir the material - it was pre-shirred. Thanks for letting me share - I hope to sew more & more!!!!

Looks great to me! I bought some of that pre-shirred material to make matching dresses for my daughter, soon to be baby girl, and myself. Glad to know it was easy.

It was actually so much FUN!!!! I think my mom also had fun just hanging out & sharing with me what she loves to do. It was a fun day yesterday!

You did a really great job. I just started sewing a few months ago and I have really gotten into it. I love it, I found the Simplicity patterns on sale at Hobby Lobby for a dollar. I bought about 10 patterns and I finised all of them. Once you get the hang of it, it is so addidicting. Good luck with your sewing and have fun. Your girls are super cute.
