First sewing class on Wednesday

So I had my first ever sewing class on Wednesday. I went in there afraid of my sewing machine. Low and behold, it is surprisingly easy (keep in mind I'm only talking basics). We made a grocery bag. I actually made something that I can use. Super proud. I can thread my bobben (which scared me) and now I can do more then just plugging it in.

Last night, I was thinking that maybe I should get the machine out and practice what I learned on Wednesday. I just got in some fabric that I bought of a lady here on hipgirl. I was looking at my yoga mat and thought, I could use a bag for that. So I made one. It is not perfect, but I made it with out any help or even a pattern.

I love sewing now. Sorry I'm so excited here, but I wanted to share.

My kids school district offers community classes. Super cheap!

Great job! IKWYM about the bobbin-I was winding mine BY HAND before my dear friend gave me lessons! Love the yoga mat fabric, too!
