I made my first set of ruffle jeans last weekend (had to make an outfit to match my cow clip, of course!) and these things came together so fast! I couldn't believe it. And my picky dd LOVED them. She was stepping high and kicking all over the place. These are just pure fun! I had been afraid to try these, but gotta tell you-were so easy!

Wow! These are incredibly cute! I love the pillowcase dress with the double ruffle, too. Do you use a tut for the jeans? If so, do you mind sharing which one you used?

Hey-Thanks! The picture doesn't do the pillowcase dress justice-that pink double ruffle at the neck and bottom is just so cute and girly!
I didn't use a tute, I just winged it-I measured dds and found appropriate lengths for pants (7 inch of fabric * 28 inches long for 7yo, 5in*24 for 2yo-for each pant leg) then a measured the pants-cut them off with pinking shears, hemmed the bottom of my fabric, made a ruffle and sewed it into a "ruffle tube" and then sewed it 1 inch above the place where I cut the jeans off. Then I top-stitched the ribbon to finish it off. Really took me less than 30 minutes a pair and I am a slllloooowww sewer. I measure and iron a bizillion times.
