I love the fabric in your 1st and 3rd posted ones! So cute!
Well once you make one, please post a photo of it... I would love to see it!

Thanks,

The pillowcase fabric I bought at Joann's, the other bright circles dress I bought at High Fashion Fabrics!

I've gone back to Joann's but I haven't seen it anymore. Try visiting your local Joann's, maybe you'll find it!

Sorry - not the fabric. I just need the sewing pattern to make the dress and wonder where you got yours. Thanks!

Thanks,
Here's the tut...maybe mine will look somewhat similar to this-haha. It's just another variation of how the ribbon is around the neckline...or in the arm holes in this case.

So cute! I've made fabric bows before, but not tried a boutique style (mostly because I didn't know how to make that kind of bow when I was sewing, but now that I know how I'll have to try it!)

That is how I used to make dd's pillowcase dresses. I never liked the idea of the drawstring effect around the neck, kwim?

Oh wow! It does look very similar! I actually use the elastic all the way around the neckline and then add the ribbons/bows on the shoulder to cover up the elastic, but without threading through the casing. I made some for my nieces with just the ribbon through the casing, but the bows kept untying and their dresses kept falling.
My tip is to use elastic and cover/adorned with the ribbon! I think the elastic will give it a better crease too! But this is just me, maybe someone else may have a better tip!

You should try it! I think it's a good fabric bow style that will compliment any of your dresses!

You say maybe because of a choking hazard when pulling the strings? I thought about that and of the problem of it falling off when the Princess is playing around and the ribbons just get untied! That's why I'd rather use elastic long enough to be comfortable and just adorn it with the ribbons.
