Default I'm so proud-lol

I had my step MIL come over today to help me figure out my machine (Innov-is 900D) and it seems like it is very user friendly since I have NOOO sewing experience. I'm so ticked too because I was at JoAnn's yesterday and all of their sewing notions were 50% off so I stocked up on some stuff that I thought I would need....I didn't know I needed bobbins so I only have one, so everything I am trying to make has to go with black thread until I figure out how to switch it-haha. Anyway, I thought for my first time sewing, that I did pretty good considering that it took me over 30 minutes to make one-haha

(My little model likes to strip her clothes off when she walks in the door so that is why she doesn't have a shirt on )

They are interchangeable

Yeah , it's a great feeling when you can make something you never thought you could or would. You did a great job.

Wish I could use a machine but I am mechanically challenged! Looks cute, and your model sounds like mine! Once wer'e home the shirt and shoes come off cause she's "hot" no matter what the temp is! SHe's five and it makes her older brother and sister so mad- they constantly tell her to put her shirt on!

WAY TO GO!!!!!!!!! My dream is to be able to make ribbon shirts. I definitely need a user friendly machine! I will make note of your brand when I take the plunge and purchase one.

My MIL has a really expensive machine, but it is a little bit older and she was amazed that it threaded the ribbon automatically and how easy it was. I would assume the better versions would work the same way. I bought mine in a JoAnn's store and it was $620 I think, but you get free sewing/embroidery classes plus a $45 gift certificate for another sewing class too, so I start the sewing classes Feb. 7. The only thing I really debated was that the embroidery area, which is the main reason I got this machine, is only 4x4 and I wasn't sure if I wanted to save more to get a bigger area, but I figured this would be a good start.

Good job you did it all you need is to keep on sewing on your machine so that you get the hang of it then you will become addicted.

It better be user friendly for that much money! LOL I don't think I will be spending that much on my 1st machine. I might have to shop around for a used one.

Great job! It makes me feel better to know that I'm not the only person that is sewing-ly-challenged LOL! I CAN sew, but not very well... and I sure as heck cannot use a pattern. Anything I sew is totally freehand LOL!
