My Version of The Black Apple Doll

Well I have a partner in a swap on Craftster who wanted a stuffed something (It could be anything!) So since she hasn't received it yet but I still wanted to share b/c I'm so proud I figured you ladies would like to see. The Clippies were made by me and can be removed so that she can wear them. They are attached to a strip of felt of the same color as the felt hair just sewn on with clear thread. I added the apron for both a visual thing and so she'd have a little pocket to put stuff in. The fabric is so awesome I still have a fat quarter left and am thinking of ideas for it. I handsewed (sp?) the brown grosgrain to the top of the apron with clear thread and just pulled gently when I reached the end for a ruffled top look. I will also be making felt mary janes for it. I'm very proud of her and only have the face left to paint on. The face is actually canvas so it'll be pretty cool. Soooo what do ya'll think?

Thanks! When I told the lady at the fabric store that the pink was for the hair she looked at me like I was crazy! lol
