I sprayed with starch, hung it upside down to dry, separated the strips by twisting a bit so they wouldn't 'nest' together, then repeated everything one more time. Now that the bow is totally dry, I...

Re: rag bows

I used a french clip and just made it like a loopy bow, using pre-cut pieces of fabric instead of one long length of ribbon. I made something like this for my daughter 30+ years ago and recently...

Re: Made my korkers from all your suggestion, what do you think?

I don't know what yours looked like before, but these are okay ~ maybe not quite full enough. I have found that if they are floppy or not rounded enough, it is because you need more ribbon! It...

Re: My version of the fabric bow...

Thank you all! I didn't buy any instructions ~ I made this one for my granddaughter the same way I made them 30 years ago for her mama. I just made a 'loopy bow', using cut lengths of fabric...

Re: Storing Fabrics

My husband put up a rod, with supports, across my craft supply closet for hanging fabric. I keep trims, notions, knits etc. in two sets of three drawers (stacked). But I am running out of room...

Re: First try at korkers!

I sew (because it seems most secure) stitching through all layers a few times, then tie it off tightly. The easiest way to cut and seal the ends is in one step, with a wood burning tool.

Re: clippies on double prong alligator

I line my single prongs upsidedown like that, but when I bought some doubles, they had a bar connecting the top prongs. So when I made the doubles 'upsidedown', the clippie would barely go into the...

Re: New animal print bow =)

Very nice bow, but I have a question. Does a bow that size stay in very long? My 17-month-old granddaughter has about that much hair ~ AT LAST!! ~ but it seems anything other than the tiny ones...

Re: Where can I get the elastic to make tutus?

At my Wal-Mart, they only have the pre-packaged. Right now that is okay, as I use 18" at a time, so two per package. But at JoAnn's I can buy off the roll and get exactly the lengths I want when/if...

Re: Let's talk hair bow clips.......

It takes a lot of hair ~ or pony tails ~ to keep french clips in place! I only use them for loopy bows any more.
