Default Boxes

I guess I'm just really cheap, because I just get the free priority boxes from the post office and flip them inside out to make regular boxes. They are just attached at on side so I take that side apart, flip it inside out, re-attach the side with hot glue and viola, a free box without the priority shipping price tag.

I was told by a post master that using priority materials for any other purpose is a fedreal offense. If it is caught, you could get into trouble. I have thought of doing the same thinkg, but am scared to!

Yeah, I've heard the same thing too. I've done it if I'm in a pinch but usually I dont'. I've found that most customer's don't mind paying for the shipping.

Yeah, I just heard about this on the Etsy forums. A guy posted a link to an article about it. You can get in trouble, even if you are recycling a used box. We all thought that was pretty silly that you can't use something that will just end up in the landfill.

On the end flap it states "This packaging is the property of the U.S. Postal Service and is provided solely for use in sending Priority Mail. Misuse may be a violation of federal law."

I use 4x4x4, 6x6x4. I tried a new size the last time when it was on sale. It's my fav 7x4x4. For the much larger orders I mail priority with the bigger boxes.
