Default Cricut? Sizzix?

I'm new to all of this, just started making custom tumblers with the vinyl letters and shapes on them. I was getting my vinyls from someone, but would like to make them myself. Which machine would be best for me?

Cricut Expression! You can cut 12" x 12" and with a special mat 12" x 24"!!

I love mine. I just did damask wall decals for my little one and butterflies and a name for my sister's nursery.

You can get most cartridges on ebay for $15-$20 - best time to buy is after Christmas but before tax return time. Checkout - overstock.com for machines. Joann's is great for accessories - most of the time its 40% off.(if not wait a week its on a cycle)

I use Design Studio but you can get SCAL - Sure Cuts A Lot for customized shapes. The Cricut Design Studio - you can get at Joann's at 40% off.

Ok, so I have another question.

Can the vinyls cut from the Cricut be put on tshirts? If so, what would I need to do that? A heat press or something?

Those are probably obvious questions, but like I said, I'm new to this part of everything! I'm trying to expand what I can do

yes you can get heat press vinyl I have never tried it but I have seen designs done with it, As for the above mentioned items with the cricut you can still get DS and they will supposedly will be releasing CCR which some people have and it was supposed to be released in April but SCAL is not made by provo craft so because of legal issues they are not permitted to sell SCAL for the cricut if you have it already they will no longer do updated on it due to the lawsuit.

I own the Cricut Expression and love it. I have made numerous wall vinyls with it.

Well that sucks. Is there anything like SCAL for Cricut now then?
