I use e6000. I take a tooth pick and spread it on the clip. I think it holds really well. I just let it dry during the day or overnight.

I found that the clearer the gule stick the better it stays. I also have used a combo hot glue and e6000. i would put the e6000 then the hot glue. Hot glue for instant stay and the e6000 for a more permanet hold. I also use it for guleing my bows to the clip caues it just stays throught all the pulling that my DD puts them through!

Does the smell from E6000 ever go away?

I found that after time the e6000 doesn't bother me as much. I don't use it for very long periods of time.

I may be a little OCD, but I start with hot glue on the underside of the clip, then use fabri-tac all along the top of the clip so it is a smooth as possible, then use hot glue in & under the pinch area. The hot glue on the ends anchors the ribbon. I only take these measures if I am not placing an applique or bow on top. If I am going to cover the lumpiness with a bow or applique, I just use hot glue. HTH!

I've done a bit of bodywork with my husband on cars...and to get the body putty/bondo to ADHERE to the metal..the metal must be SCUFFED. Thats why I scuff all my metal clips etc before I put on the ribbon....Use a simple scuff pad or light sandpaper...try it...You'll wonder why you never did it before. LOL. --MM

I have asked for a Dremmel tool for Christmas, and I'll bet the sanding tip on there would work GRAT for that! Fast!!! Thanks for the tip1
