Default Is a wood burner worth it?

Hi. I am new to making bows and I have seen that other people have been using a wood burner. What is it used for and is it worth it? Thanks!!

First, welcome to the forum.

Second of all, in regards to every question that you have asked, there are tons, probably hundreds of threads out there regarding each and every topic that you have presented. You can search the forum for said threads using the "search" feature - it is in the dark blue bar below your name, third option from the right. Google will also do you wonders.

Hope this helps

I use to cut with my scissors then heat seal the ends with a lighter. My thumb was starting to become raw.

I switched to a wood burner. Now it cuts and heat seals at the same time. I LOVE IT!

Well worth it. I bought a $20 wood burner at Michaels, used my 50% off coupon.

I also never use my woodburner. The only thing I did like it for was heat sealing organza ribbon.

Can't live without it. It cuts and seals ribbon at the same time. Lining clips has gone so much faster with the double sided tape and the woodburning tool. It takes a little practice but once you get the hanged of it, it's a great time saver.
