Does anyone have any experience with these plastic headbands?
Plastic Headbands

My daughter tends to pull the ends apart and I'd like to know if they snap in half easily or if they have some flex. I bought a cheap set of colored ones at Target and she can straighten them out without them breaking.

Hi Jen! Welcome to the "Family" I find that the plastic headbands do have some flexability to them. I have a 3 yo son who thinks they are twistable, and has yet to break one. HTH

My daughter just wore one to school yesterday. It was her first time wearing one and the headband came home broken in her backpack. I asked her how it happened. I am not sure if it was her pulling on it or if someone tried to take it from her and the headband became the turkey wishbone. It was a thinner one I got at the Ribbon Retreat. I think it was the 3/8 inch size. But it was pretty bent up, so I think sending it with her in a class of four and five year olds was a bad idea. I just wanted to have her show it off, not get it broken. Anyone else have a plastic headband break?

Ugh! I'd be so upset. Not even at the cost of the materials but the time you spent on it. I've only made my daughter 3 sets of bows so far and I'm so protective of them that I won't let her wear them to school (that's what the cheap Target clips are for!) One fell out on a shopping trip once and I actually found it when I backtracked to the children's section of Old Navy. It sure would be nice if someone would sell solid metal headbands - at least then you could bend them back into shape.

I think those are the same headbands I have (got them from The Name Game website) and I've had a few break. I think it's always been from someone stepping on them. UGH kids!

Ok I had to try to see if I could break one by trying to straighten it out and it broke in three places! It was a 1 inch one and it got to the point of almost being all the way straight.
I'm not too happy because I bought a ton of them!
