Default E6000 help

So I bought a tube of the E6000 to do bottlecaps with but I am having problems with it. When I open the tube the glue is constantly oozing out and I can't get it to stop. Is this normal? Do you guys have this problem and how do you fix it or did I made get a bad tube. Any help would be great thanks!!

I don't use it that much, but it oozes on me, too. I just lay it on a paper towel while I need it and wipe it and cap it real quick when I put it up.

Unfortunately, you did not get a bad one. It happens to all of us I wish they'd make the tube more user friendly!

this is normal. which I why I hate using it. You just have to replace the cap right away. You also have to let it sit on the cap for a minute or so before you press it to the bow. They always still fall off for me which is why I switched to flat back buttons.

I use e-6000 to apply the felt pad to the cap, but hot glue to attach the cap to the bow. The e-6000 just wasn't holding the cap onto the bow unless I held it for like an hour. lol

Well that really stinks. That is why I don't really want to use it but I guess I have no choice because I haven't found anything else that holds the caps as good. And I use it to hold the wooden circle and ribbon in the cap and then I hot glue it to the bow and wrap the ribbon around it and glue that. Thanks ladies!

Very normal. I hate that it does this. They should make it in a tall bottle. I usually put a toothpick in mine after I get done to help with the oozing but I waste a lot due to it oozing.

I squeeze/bend the tube as little as possible. When I remove the cap, I just let it sit for a second and it'll usually start ozzing out and I use what it oozes. I've also found that its best for me to let it stop ozzing before I replace the cap so the cap doesn't get stuck on. Had that happen a time or two.....

I think they make it that way on purpose so that you waste half of it and have to buy more. I don't use it for anything because I got so fed up with it.

I haven't used this stuff for ages, though I'm going to have to get some. There's a fine tip that's sold as an accessory that might prevent some of that. Here's one source I could find. I would think it would be located where the glue is sold in the store also.

I discovered this right away too. My solution was to keep a tall glass at my work station and just stand it upright as I work and try not to press it too much while I handle it. It has helped a lot and I don't mind using it at all anymore.
