Question gator-bite which one???

I have heard lots of you talk about the gator-bite so i was going to get one just to see if it would make my life easier but when i went to the site there are two different ones and i am not really sure which to get one is the original version and they have a second newer version. i have gone back and forth and cant figure out which is best so i thought i would ask those of you that use them which one you have and do you like it? (my guess is they recently brought back the older version as i dont remember seeing it when i was looking not to long ago) TIA

I just see one, too. I have it and love it. I think it is cheaper now. I paid more for mine a few years ago

oohhh...i see! i don't think i'd like that one as much as the one i have. i like the spring action on mine. the other one is if you can't hold the clamp open to put the bow in...i guess like if you have arthritis or something...idk.

I have the new one (as of only a few weeks ago) and I can see at least one advantage of the older style. I'd like to be able to set my bow down on it and arrange it just so.. before I closed the gator bite down on it.

Hey Maxine, how you doing with the Gator Bite since the other thread about how to use it??? It helped me a lot, but I still can't find anything to tie it off with that I like!!!! I've tried dental floss, embroidery thread and the organza that came with it!!!!! Any suggestions????

Hey girl!

Ugh, I'm pathetic. I've toyed around with the gator bite a little more but I still can't get it to work right for me. The ribbon just won't slide for me so I can't make a tight knot. I do use dental floss (waxed) but I triple layer it. But, honestly, the organza works great for me too.

I'll keep trying! It just seems like I'm wasting a lot of it!!!!
