Default Which attachment?-Woodburner

I just bought a wood burning tool. There are a bunch of attachments. Which one are you suppose to be using? Also how can we do the "v" cuts with it?

I use the attachment that was already attached to it. I'm not too good with the burner. But I still cut my ribbons withe scissors and I lightly hold the woodburner to the ribbon to seal it.

I use the one that is already on it too. I'm so happy I started using a wood burner to seal my ribbons from the beginning. That thing can be dangerous though!

They scare me!
I was using it one time and not paying attention, reached over to pick it up and picked up the wrong end. I had the worst burn. I did nothing for two hours but sit with my hand in a bowl of ice water.

Ouch! I got burned once by it after I had already unplugged it. My husband told me that when you get a burn the best thing to do is actually run the burn under warm water because the cold water will just make it welt worse. I did that and then put neosporin on it after and it healed like that (a day tops).

How did you use it? Normally, when I'm using the wood burner to cut and seal, I lay the ribbon on my counter (use a cookie sheet if you don't have a heat safe counter) and then I put a metal ruler on top of it and hold it down real good. Then I just firmly slide the wood burner along the edge of the ruler. You can't hold it in one place too long or it will just melt it more than you want it too. So you have to be firm, but quick...yet not too quick. Sorry if that doesn't make sense!
