Do you use the spellbinders die with a sizzix machine? I have a sizzix big shot express and was wondering if the spellbinders would work in that machine.

I will tell you that the acrylic felt will not cut well with them -- but wool blend felt always cuts like butter

yes, maam!!! i have a regular big shot. i would assume they will work with the express as well

for the spellbinders die you will have to use BOTH platform 1 and 2 b/c the dies are so paper thin!

I had a problem with the spellbinders & quik kut dies not cutting, but it was b/c i was using cheap acrylic felt (like on the bolts at joanns).
I finally got some wool blend (like 20 to 30% blend) and every die cuts amazing!

I was woundering where to get the 2nd platform? I call sizzix again and the women told that I need to buy a solo wafer thin adapter and a new product they are comming out with, a solo shim. The shim is only going to be at major retailers for now. I dunno I am so confused. I also was woundering about the spellbinders mat http://www.shopwiki.com/_Spellbinder...82732&s=181594? Can I use that in place of one of the sandwich layers?

They sell the multipurpose platform at Joann's online, I am sure they are other places too. I use the this platform with spellbinders, I don't have to use anything else with it.

Butterflyladybug,
I was watching a tutorial on youtube the other day and the lady was using a piece of heavy cardstock for a shim. She was having no problems. That was using the regular Bigshot.
HTH,
Mickey
