Default Sizzix Dyes and Designs?

I'm up in the air about getting a big shot, after each buy I kick myself saying why didnt I buy it but then when the buys start I think do I really need to spend $200 on another gadget? So a buy is open again and I am debating again

For you ladies who have a sizzix machine....
Which one?
Whats your favorite dyes? (i think my major problem is I wont just buy one or two and the machine... my shopping/GB addiction will have me buying 50)
Do you have any pics of what you've made?
Is it worth it?

I have a sizzix bigkick (it's the same as the bigshot but it's blue ~ my inlaws got it for my christmas present and used a coupon at Michael's in Canada to get it).

As for dies ~ I really like Spellbinders Nestabilities!!! They are a nesting type and you get a lot for the money you spend on them. I just got their daisy patch and the posy patch and can't wait to attach them to some alligator clippies. If you want flowers or circles (just check out what ones they have, they have SO many) that are the same shape but different sizes, nestabilites are for you. If you are anything like me and can't cut out a perfect circle, these will be such a lifesaver.

~ for the spellbinders dies I bought a piece of magnetic sheet at walmart and just attached it to a stamp storage page and cut out holes and they fit in a binder. The spellbinder dies are magnetic and this is a great way to keep them all together. I also bought a label maker and have what the sizes are on the page the die is on.

I have some sizzix and cuttlebug dies but I use them mostly for cardmaking and haven't used them for bowmaking. HTH

Dee =)

I recently bought the big shot for around $70 on Amazon and I think I've even seen it for around $50 somewhere (overstocked.com?).

I've only bought two sizzix dies so far and they were from Stampin Up. (a flower die and a circles die).

I just got the scalloped circles dies from the Spellbinders Nestqbilities brand and it cuts paper great, felt is ok (1 sheet at a time only), but my cotton fabric just did not get cut properly.

Check out some videos on YouTube by searching for a term such as "Sizzix fabric", and you'll get lots of ideas.

HTH!
