Default HELP! Break down of the cutting machines

Okay...so my husband said he would buy me a cutting machine for V Day. I just don't know what I want. Can somebody break down the different machines and what you use them to make? TIA!!!

If you're planning to just cut paper, vinyl and chipboard, then a cricut. If you want to cut out lots of fabric and felt flowers/appliques, go with a Sizzix.

I really don't know what I am planning on cutting...lol. I just see all of you lovely ladies with your fancy machines and I am envious. :-) I am thinking felts for headbands and things. What do you guys do with just paper cutouts, etc.? Cards and things? Please excuse my ignorance...lol. I know a lady on Etsy got a Silhouette SD and she made some confetti for me which I thought was really cool, but what all could you use it for?

So do you just cut paper to add to the bow holders?

She said there are no dies. She downloads new ones every week online. Plus it can cut any font on your computer.
