Default Question about clip attachment

forgive me if this is not the right place to post this....i just got started in the bow making business.

and i've noticed that some of my own 3yo's bow that i hot glued lined the 3/8 ribbon to her 1 3/4" alligator clip to are starting to pull away. coming un glued in certain spots.

obviously DON'T want this happening to anyone that i'm SELLING bows to!!!

any advice?

I've never had this happen. I have even washed bows (on accident) and they come out fine. Could your glue be old??? Just guessing? I'm not sure.

I have had this happen, and it is always when I have just put a strip of glue on the ribbon then stuck it to the clip. If I take the tip of the glue gun and spread the glue out on the ribbon it seems to help. I haven't had it happen sinceI started that. HTH!
