Default is it worth $70?

I was looking at the black friday ads and i noticed that michaels was going to have the cricut v1 on sale for $69.99. Does it already come with some fonts and will you need some kind of software to hook it up to your computer? I have an embroidery machine and i didn't realize everything i would need to actually be able to embroider so i don't want to spend a lot of $$$ on the cricut. Is it worth spending $70 on and will i need alot of extras if i just want cut polka dots and letters? TIA for the tips

I totally thought it was worth the money I spent on mine... It just depends on what you are going to be using it for. & it does come with some standard shapes/letters.

I totally LOVE my circuit. But if you want all the cute fonts etc that you can do with it you will end up spending more or have to find a good friend who will loan you her cartridges. Each cartridge will run you between19 and 39 on sale. I hope this helps

i've read somewhere that you can't cut felt with a cricut... you will need a sizzix to cut felt.

No it does not cut felt. It gets stuck in the blade
I got mine at Walmart on black Friday. It us the big one and I paid like $ 190 for it. It is normally $300. I did it at 3am on black Friday on their website. You may want to look at their add. The big one you can do so much more with.
