I have never used a Sizzix, but I did purchase the Cuttlebug not too long ago and I love it! I have actually only cut felt on it and it works great. Also, you can use pretty much any brand of dies with it. I have some Cuttlebug and Sizzix dies and the both work with it. Plus, if you buy it at Michaels you can use a 40% off coupon (although I think you can w/the Sizzix too).

I love love love my sizzix big shot! I have cut pretty much every kind of fabric with it along with clear transparencie (so I can't spell) film to make my tags. I would assume that you could use other dies with it I just have sizzix though.

I just got my big shot pro and I love it already!! I've played with felt so far, there are tons of dies because it is compatible with so many of the other machines.

tclark on here is wholesaler for sizzix and can get 40 or so % off all the time. Maybe more, have to contact her if interested.

Big shot sizzix ALL THE WAY!!! I had a cuttle bug for years but I can cut many layers of fabric so much easier with the big shot. I love it. You can use all of the dies for the cuttlebug in it too. I got it for $60 on sale at joanns

LOVE my sizzix bigshit. Cuts everything I cut 4 layers of felt at a time easily. Dies last really well. Use the originals dies (not sizzlets etc)
