I agree! I am very disappointed having to wait for 1st Class when they indicated free Priority shipping. Now, I have to reschedule quoted shipping on an order b/c it's been 6 days now instead of 2 or 3.

I got some black ribbon that was very stiff and one side of the ribbon looked like it had two lines where it ended (hard to explain). It was in the middle of a spool so I doubt the store even noticed it when they were rolling it off of their larger spool. I think it happens regardless of the manufacturer and then the stores don't notice it because of all the ribbon they sell each day. I'm sure they don't have time to inspect every inch!

rabom usually has awesome ribbon i have been ordering from them for nearly 5 years and that was the first ribbon i have ever gotten like that

With the way the manufacturer makes the stripe ribbon there are slight variations in the texture each time. Unfortunately this is a process that we canít control, so we canít guarantee an exact likeness with each lot of ribbon. Thanks again for your concern, and have a wonderful day!
Which striped ribbon did you buy from them? It could be from The Ribbon Factory which is a very different type of texture than the regular solid grosgrain.

As for RABOM black - I haven't ordered 3/8 from them lately. I usually do 100 yard spools from Schiff. Black in general is very stiff. I actually have some of the gray that's really stiff but it's 1/5". I use it for cheer bows so I don't mind the stiffness. The lighter the color a lot of times the softer, mind you not always.

I ordered white 3/8" from them a few months ago that was like this. I haven't korked any ribbon from that spool because I don't like it. I have been ordering my ribbon from them for years and that was the first time (and only so far) I have ever received ribbon like that.

I LOVE Rabom...any time I have ever had a problem I have sent them an email and they have fixed any issue I have had! Shoot them an email and see what they say....they will prob. end up sending you another spool for free! They are great like that!

i have had a diff. time with rabom for a while. everything is usually okay.. just always seem to be missing one roll, or just a couple of resins, or my print is off.. that kind of thing. i just don't like following up with them EvEry time!!

I would say call them. maybe they ordered a reaaaallly super huge lot of black to save $.
