Default What glue gun would you recommend?

Hi Ladies,

When I started making bows and lining clips I bought an el-cheapo glue gun from wal-mart, but it is getting worst and worst. Sometimes glue won't come out at all, and then sometimes a huge gush comes out. I have been burnt so many times and have had so many projects ruined because of that dumb glue gun.

I know there likely isn't a perfect glue gun out there, but I am basically looking for one that is even and consistent. Any suggestions?

I have two, I got both of them at Michaels. They are the small ones.

I bought the aleene's ultimate glue gun because I heard great things about it, including no drips (what??), but...I still haven't used it. I bought a $2.99 cheap one at Joanns to finish up using my mini glue sticks first (had a mini one, accidentally burned a giant hole in the side with my wood burner...whoops).

I have that one, too, but it did take getting used to the big size. Still using it two years later.

I liked my surebonder with the tiny nozzle EXCEPT it dripped so much, I swear I lost a whole glue stick in between bows.

I have two Surebonders. A large cordless one, it is great! And I have a small fine point one, it is great with the exception of having the drips. Somebody please tell me how to stop it. I am so cheap and I feel like I am wastin half a stick! If I could either figure out how to stop the dripping or how to shove the glue balls back in and re-use them?!?!

I just lol'd at this too I have the 2 temp gun from walmart and it's horrible. Worse than the little orange one from HL but I was tired of changing out glue sticks every 10 min. The first time I used the WM glue gun, I had to laugh b/c when I was done the little glue balls were everywhere and it looked like I let loose a little hamster that eats hot glue LOL!
