The pink one is adorable!! In fact, my youngest was peeking over my shoulder when I opened it. She literally squealed, "Mommy, I LOVE IT!! PINK! It's my favorite!!!"

There ya go, straight from a Cinderella wannabe!

For my next one, I'll try adding different pieces and try to glam it up more. All in all, the free tut gives you a general idea of the bow and is enough for me.

Oh, don't worry about the frayed ends, it was just a practice bow!

I LOVE THIS SOLD how much ?? HEE HEE

seriously love it! Want it!

I think your first two tries are awesome I haven't found time to try them yet, but I LOVE these type of bows and drool just thinking about it!

I make and sell the most funky layered bows, so these sound so much fun!

good job!

I do NOT have these instuctions. I use a "wrapping method" (wire or thread) on a french clip. I used "craft sticks" (popsicle sticks) to attach to alligator clips.... i.e.: attached the ribbon to the wood, attached the wood to the clip, then lined the clip. They were pretty, but always too heavy to stay in place (I only tried felt, velcro, and shelf liner for gripping). Looking back, something more flexible would've been MUCH easier; but I'm sure you know that whatever you wrap the ribbon to has to be pretty sturdy, too.

I hope this made some sort of sense. Let us know if you come up with an idea for making them on alligator clips. Good luck!

Well, i too had been stalking these bows for several weeks and finally gave in and bought the tut. Did not want to payt that much, but I did. Now, i see that she is selling it for $12!!!! That makes me mad, but I am still glad that I bought it because I love making them.Picture 209.jpg

Picture 216.jpgHere are some of the first ones I made. The pink/black combo is on an alli clip. You make them the same way you do the others, its really easy. They are truely addictive bows. How they sell, I'm not sure yet. But I do like them!!

For those of you that have the tutorial...

Is it easy/intuitive to tell how to convert them smaller? Does that make sense? I love them, but would want to make them about half the size of the ones shown in the tutorial listing.

Thanks!

It is. You just cut everything down, fewer loops. I'm pretty sure the tut tells you how much ribbon and sizes to use for other sizes.
