Wow! I got my wood burner today! Why, why, why did I wait so long??? I immediately plugged it in with the tip that was attached already (I'll figure out how to change 'em later, maybe), glued down the rinky dink stand per instructions recieved here, grabbed a ribbon scrap and VOILA! It WORKS!!!!! And it's so much cleaner than using the lighter. I wasn't even sure it had sealed - I couldn't tell it from a distance. I am one HAPPY bow maker now! Well, except for the fact that I can't stay up ALL night making bows!

If you are waiting around like me... take my advice and RUN don't walk, RUN out & get you a wood-burner!

Mine was $24.99 at Hobby Lobby, but I had a 40% off coupon. It has several tips, but I may NEVER change 'em if this continues to work so well.

Thank you for all your tips & advice on this tool!
Lorrie

I have to chime in... The wood burner (I use a soldering iron) works perfectly. Why even use anything else?

Wait until you are cutting korkers. It actually makes them sorta easy to fix! I can't believe I used to cut and seal them seperately. It would take darn near forever!

I know, I got over my fear of mine and broke it in last week. I even sealed bows that were already complete instead of using a lighter. So much easier on my hand. It is awesome!

What do you use under your ribbon when you cut it with the wood burner? A piece of wood, glass?
