Default Hot glue

I have bought 2nd hot glue that is high temperature. But it is just not strong enough

This one is 20W max and I use "clear" mini high temperature gluestick.

Do you use 40W and bigger glue stick? Pls let me know!
Thanks

I have no idea what mine is...all I know is it's a small little guy from the Dollar tree and high temp glue sticks from wal mart and it does pretty darn good, I think. What do you mean when you say it's not holding?? Maybe I should apply that test to mine to make sure!

Thanks, ladies!

Mine is a little one, too. I wasn't sure if I can use big 40W ones for ribbon and flowers etc, but I guess that what I should be using.

I tried glue method to make FOE, but it is just not strong enough. When I pull apart (not even strong) it comes off easily.

I am off to Michaels this afternoon

I have no idea what I use, it is little and I buy the hot temp glue sticks at Walmart. I do know something though.... it sure causes blisters! lol

I have never tried it on foe. I did however try my wood burner on the foe, to melt it together...for all you gals that know how to do that, PLEASE tell!
All I did was burn the crap out of it and man did it stink! Turned it black!
I just bearly touching it to the foe too!

I use the mini one from Michales and the all temp glue sticks from them too, I've never had a bow or anything else come apart.

I have a big one from Black and Decker that I hate. HAHA!

I use the cheap mini one from Hobby Lobby and I buy their high temp glue sticks too and never have problems. At one point I tried some different glue sticks (they must have been low temp or multi-temp) and they didn't hold well at all.

Isn't the glue that's in the mini sticks and large sticks the same stuff? I have a mini cheap one from Michaels and the all temperature glue sticks and everything appears to be holding just fine. I did FOE headbands too, np.
