Default sizzix vs cricut

I'm interested in a die cut machine. I'd mostly be using it for felt. I've just started doing research on the ones out there, and thought I'd ask you guys your opinion. Which do you prefer, pros/cons, etc. Whatever info might be helpful is greatly appreciated.

I'm hoping to find one on ebay for a good price.

I haven't tried the cricut but I have the sizzix and love it. No problems to report whatsoever : )

I have a cricut and so far I have had nothing but problems trying to cut felt. I do get good cuts when I succeed but to me it seems like too much work. I am thinking about getting a sizzix to use for felt. That being said, I love my cricut for everything else, it makes the cutest bags and cards. :-)

I have heard it's a pain to cut felt, but that it can be done. Something about putting some type of adhesive on the back of the felt. I have a sizzix but not many dies so I haven't tried it.

I have a cricut and a sizzix. For cutting felt, sizzix wins hands down. Yes, you have to buy more dies, but you can get them really cheap if you know when and where to look (sizzix.com on Tuesdays and sign up for their newsletter to get the coupon codes every week). I must have 20 or 30 different dies, and they are sooo easy to use, and cut perfectly every time.

I now want a Sizzex machine. I have never even heard of these until this post. What all can you do with one, besides cut felt for clips? Are there tutorials? Also, what all can you do with a Cricut. I don't scrapbook, but it looks so cool. I would love to be able to due vinyl designs for wall decor. Does it do that?

i am a sizzix fan too. researched all of them and this one came up with the best reviews for cutting fabric and felt. you can cut the fabric as is but i usually iron a fusible "stiffener" on it and then cut it. really adds to silk flowers. i get mine at sizzix.com on tuesdays too.
