Default Non slip grip

I have always used non slip grips, until now. My daughter is almost 5yo and has plenty of hair. I have found that that non slips don't stay in her hair well at all. I think they only work in sparse hair. She wore a clip yesterday (w/o grip) all day and it did not move. I think I will stop lining clips for girls with more hair.

Has anyone found the same thing? Any input?

If I make a clip for myself or my 10 yr old daughter, I use the hook side of velcro. I find that stays in thick hair really well. I also use that on my headbands and it works great. For all other clips I use silicone and so far no complaints.

I have used both silicone and shelf liner, and this unlined clip stayed in her hair better. I will say that if I pull on the unlined clip it will come out easier, but left alone it stays put better than lined. Go figure!

Oooh i like the idea of putting velcro on my headbands, i bet that will help from them sliding back on the head.
I usually use the shelf liner on my bows, what is the silicone method if you don't mind me asking? :0)

I use Wendy's method for silicone.
