Question printing out images...?

I have a cd of saved bottlecap images that I want to go and print out, but I'm not sure what type of paper to print it out on? Should I have it printed out on photo paper? Will it smear when I seal the top of the image? Or should I just print it out on heavier cardstock type paper?
Sorry for all the questions!

I get mine printed at CVS/Walgreens/Walmart etc , adhere them to the cap with Mod Podge and then seal them with ET Lite (when I can get the stuff to work right!!!) LOL

Thanks for the responses, ladies! It looks like photo paper, it is =) I saw a post on here that mentioned covering the image with some sort of paper adhesive. I wonder if I would still need to cover the image with mod pdge to keep it from running or blurring first -? I'll have to play around with it when I get some supllies

Just my experience...I have mine printed at Walgreen's, and I don't have to seal them with anything before applying the resin. I have never had them *run* or anything. If I print them myself, they do run! Also- another idea that was suggested that I have found to LOVE is the Xyron sticker maker. It's soooooo much less of a mess than Mod-Podge!! You just run them through, peel, stick---then they're ready for resin!!! The one I got was like $13 at Michael's, but I had a 50% off and got it for $6.50. The refills are on sale this week at Michael's (40% off)---so I got one of those as well.

Okay.....so if you use the sticker thing...you just stick it on the cap and then use the resin for a top coat???? That's it???
