I second the wood burner. It cuts prep time in half for me.

This may sound crazy, but I use Paramedic scissors. They have little ridges that grip the ribbon and I always get a straight cut. My main issue with cutting was that the ribbon would always slip and I would have a crooked cut. But these work great!

here are some:

I second on the Ginghers. I have 2 pair and they are without a doubt the best ever. The fiskars aren't even worth anything after using the Ginghers. I have a big pair I use for my cheer bows that are amazing. It slices through layers of ribbon straight and clean like butter

I love my wood burner too but I can only use that when the 3 year old is asleep which wouldn't leave me a lot of time. I set aside time when I need to do korkers. My little girl is way to active and constantly my shadow that it's not worth the burn either her or me trying to protect her.

Rotary - this is what i use to cut the fabric for my cheer bows as well as the heat and bond strips. I also use them to cut fabric for just about anything.

I use a small cute pink and white pair of scissors that were at Joann's for $3.99 but I got them for less than that with my coupon. I love them. I'm sure they will eventually dull, but I am definitely getting my monies worth out of them. And they are small and I can take them anywhere.

Just did a quick search and there seem to be many different kinds of Ginghers. Which one is good for cutting ribbon? And what is a good price / good place to get it?
