Default Infant Clip

Hi!

My friend just had a baby and she wants some infant clips. I don't know what I could possibly make these out of? Any ideas? Does anyone do infant clips?

I saw someone, somewhere, make them out of ribbon. I think she starched it and put velcro inside of it and then embellished the top. I am going to see if I can get a pic.

I saw a site somewhere that had infant teeny tiny bows, that you would stick by putting kyro syrup or K-Y jelly on to get it to stick on the hair.

I had to laugh at the K Y jelly! LOL

Infant clips will vary if the infant has any hair. The itty bitty snap clippies will work with just a little hair. No hair you definitely will have to use the stick on bows. I have mini alligator clippies that work great for infants too but you have to have a little hair. Bowbands are nice for infants too, made from FOE, stretch lace or knit.

I use the mini alligators with a no slip. They hold in my niece's hair, and she has little to none

Ok I tested this. I was making some stick bows for my neice when she was first born and I stuck a bunch of them to my husbands arm using different products that are said to hold up well. LOL (no he was not a willing participant, but I was busy with my hands and he was just sitting watching a football game!)

Anyway, through my little experiment petrolium jelly held the best, I made him shake his arm around after a few minutes(to let some of the products dry) and the only one that stayed on was the petrolium jelly
