Default glue gun

I bought a find tip glue gun and at first it was great. It did so much better than my regular tip on ebut now it seems to always leave the little sting like spinder web things.
What glue guns do you have that you would highly recommend. I am hoping for a fine tip one if anyonehas one of thoses too.

I got one of the little pink ones from walmart for $3. I have had it for almost 2 years and it works great! It just now started "leaking" it will drip glue every once in a while, but for $3 and 2 years it was a pretty good buy, especially when I use it on a daily basis

I have a glue gun graveyard! I have bought so many of them, from cheap to very expensive.
I don't know what kind of curse I have on them but I have yet to find one that doesn't leak and make a mess.
I need a good one so bad, I use them alot. I have a ceramic tile I set mine on to catch all the drips.
I have a real love hate relationship with glue guns!!! LOL

Ahhh, glue guns and I don't get along. I just opened a brand new one and chucked it immediately thereafter. The glue simply won't come out of the tip! I should have brought it back to Michael's but I lost my receipt.

As for the strings, I just kinda do a quick swirl and swipe the tip to cut the strings on to something (a paper, or whatever is on hand). Sorry, not much help I know but I would have preferred a stringy glue gun vs what I got.

Hot glue and strings go together. No matter what glue or glue gun you use. I recently bought the Aileens Ultimate with the different nozzles and I LOVE it. I use the fine tip 99.9% of the time and it is just perfect for getting into those small spaces. It costs around $25, but if you use the 40% off coupon from Michaels it is a great deal! It also can be used cordless. Don't get me wrong - it produces strings, but ALL glue will do that. It isn't the glue gun but the nature of the glue.

Does the Aileens Ultimate leak? That's the problem I have.

Only when I first plug it in. I have it sitting on a magazine and it spits out a small glob of glue when it is warming up but other than that, no. Nothing out of the ordinary. I love it. And I use any old glue sticks in it - not specifically Aileen's glue.
