Default sizzix die?

This may be a very dumb question but, is there any way to stop part of your die from cutting through? Like some of the flowers have circle cut outs in the middle can you stop that? I saw a store on etsy that had felt flowers that looked like one of my sizzix dies but mine cuts a circle out and theirs did not. I don't know if I am making any sense but I really want to know if this is possible. I have searched and searched. Thanks.

Can you post the Etsy link for the flower? It could be a different brand of die.

I know the one you're referring to--I love the flower but the center is a pain. I end up stitching a circle that's larger than the hole in the center but I'd be very interested in figuring out a way to do that too!

There are a few like that. I'm pretty sure the only thing you can do is use another piece of felt to block the hole once you start assembling the flower.

I ended up putting a plastic disc on the centers and ran it through the machine, it pushed one down so now it won't cut the circle. I don't think I will try it again, I don't know if it ruins the machine by doing that. The flower I saw was all one piece and I know it is the same one I have. I can't remember which store it was. Maybe they did something similar to what I did. Who knows?

Ooh, I'm wondering if they didn't just cut a regular die with the machine and then used that die to cut around on a regular piece of felt using just scissors?
