Default Is there such a thing as....

a machine to assist in covering buttons? I have started using fabric and ribbon covered buttons for the center of my hairbows. I have gotten lots of compliments on them. The thing is, my fingers get soooo soar from using the manual push button tool. It isn't quite so bad when I use the 7/8" push tool, but I have started using 5/8" buttons for my infant bows. Now, the push tool for that one drives me mad! It is hard! Is there such a machine that could assist me in this? If so, is it adjustable to cover buttons of different sizes or do you have to buy separate machines for each size?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated....by me and my fingers !

I'm no help to your dilemma, as I still hand sew my fabric to the back of my buttons.. lol

This site has some button machines.... more for like badge buttons but they have lots of different backs and such so I am sure something exists for the kinds of buttons we do.

Most of mine are hand sewn around the button. I do not like the metal buttons they show through your fabric sometimes.

Dede has a busines that sells machines for covering buttons and the buttons, as well. Here is her profile: http://hipgirlclips.com/forums/members/dede.html. Here is her site: http://www.workroombuttons.com/. I had never gone to her site, but I just did and I think I NEED some of her stuff. Hope this helps.

I was just going to make a post about this. The other say I found a brad maker called the I top. It does paper and fabric brads but I read somewhere that people were using it to make the fabric covered buttons instead. Here is the link to it

I hope that helps.

I have one of those-I can try to see if it will work with fabric and the button backs I have for them tonight. I think mine is a 1" machine. They aren't adjustable.
