I also bought the 9 piece NBNG set with e-book and am so happy that I did! My pinwheels look waaay better, and the sizes are always consistent. I may buy the 1.5 size later, but right now I have no real need for it. I also bought the gator bite a while ago, so using both together makes everything incredibly easy! I will say though, that I bought the BBM twisted template and that is def. a lot easier than NBNG for the twisted BB.

Thanks for all the feedback ladies!! I can't wait for my templates to arrive. I will be using the tied method instead of sewing and I am ordering the gator bite now! I can't wait!!

I also purchased the TNT templates. My first couple of bows look a lot better than they did when I did it on my own.
I'm very happy with the templates so far. Brand new to bowmaking.

I got my e-book and templates! I have been trying to perfect the twisted bow but I just can't seem to get it to look right!! I love the crease that I get now but the actual bow just doesn't look like the twisted bow!!

How long did it take for it to arrive?

It takes a little practice, but once you get it, it's a piece of cake. The trick is to make sure the back stays in a horizontal line (one ribbon over the other), while moving the front part into a nice wide "x" (follow the ebook for the placing of your fingers, and what the "x" should look like. As you can see it shows you good ones, bad ones, and pics for troubleshooting). Then, when you first finish sewing it, it will not look good! This is normal. It's all about the shaping! Pull and push those loops into the proper placing, starch (if you want - I do) to hold the shape, and you're good to go! Just keep playing it!

I sewed them the first few times, but once I got the gator bite I started using that. I like the crease the same but I haven't been able to get those loops right. I think my problem is keeping the back straight while making the wide x. I didn't know you had to shape them afterward though. I mean I do shape them a bit but not in any particular way. I guess I will go over the ebook again and keep working on it.
