hi, I'm new in making hair bows. I want to know what do you prefer to use alligator clips or barrettes? and what kind of hair bows do you use them for?

Mine is the direct opposite-I use french barettes on all the ones I make for my granddaughters-but everyone I sell they want alligator clips! They look at the back and if I have them on barettes they put them back-

i actually prefer snap clips (1 1/4")- especially for the itty bitty bows. the feedback i get is that they stay in much better than alligator clips. from my experience with my own daughter, i'd have to agree. i know that will be shocking to most of you!!!
i use french clips when i think the bow/flower is too heavy for a large (50mm) snap clip.

I use alligator clips for all my basic bows.
For my layered bows, I like to use french clips. ~Lisa
