Other uses for NBNG templates

Does anyone else use their templates for things besides making bows?

So far I use mine for making pom-poms. Wrap the yarn around them then use the slot to tie them off, pull them off and cut the sides.

I also use them to cut my ribbon lengths to line clips. If you use tape you put your tape on but leave the liner on the one side. Wrap around the template and cut in the slot. If you use hot glue just wrap and cut.

Anyone else have other uses for them?

I must be brain-dead because I'm not following this...but am very intrigued...help me understand how you do this??

I'm probably not explaining it very good. I use the 4.5 template, line the beginning of the ribbon up with the slot in the middle of the template, clip with alligator clip, wrap the ribbon around the entire template 4-5 times. I then clip all the layers of the ribbon with a clip on both sides of the slot and cut right in the middle of the template where the slot is. It gives me perfect length ribbon to line a clip with the ribbon going into the V. I cut 40 yards of ribbon today in about 3 minutes
