~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have been using sta flo starch and loving it to fluff my bows. I am wondering if my starch is old...found it in the basement un-opened but I think it must be about 2-3 years old. Anyway, on my darker colored ribbon from Hobby Lobby it left it looking a little dull...I was bummed because I have lots of bows to starch but am afraid to....don't want dull bows Has anyone that is using sta flo have this problem? Maybe I should switch?
Thanks,
Leslie
I use "stiffen stuff" but I heard that Wal-Mart does not carry it anymore. Works great.
I use aleens stiff n stuff I think that is what it's called, joanns carries it. It's in teh glue section...not fabrics/ribbons!!!If I rememeber correctly its about $6 for a pump spray. You can use a 40% off coupon! I tried it on a small bow and it worked great, dried in about an hour or so. It does have a bit of a smell but I spray it with some floral body spray... I always wanted my bows puffy and not flat and so far I like this stuff. Oh yeah and I use paper towels to stuff the inside loops of bows, I hear toilet paper can be use too...I think I am actually going to take pictures of my process just for my personal blog..so if I get a chance I will post here too.
Good Luck!!
I did use water...about half and half. I think it maybe was the ribbon.????
I will have to buy and experiment with hairspray and the stiffen stuff.
