I would heat seal over fray check on anything that is polyester. Anything that is not polyester won't heat seal properly & will burn. Fray check will be helpful with those

Have you tried to heat seal after you run your ribbon through the toggle?
My experience with Fray Check is it turns yellow over time. I only use it if I have to.

I was thinking the same thing. LOL! Heat seal it after you pull it through the toggle. I like the instant gratification of heat sealing. Plus, it looks nice and clean. I only use Fray Check when I make antennas. When I used Fray Check on my green ribbon when I made the leaves for the pumpkin ribbon sculpture, the ribbon looked like it was still wet, even the next day.

It is not my fav to use at all. If you use it on satin, which is hard to heat seal, it will also stain. I also have a problem with my skin peeling after I use it. I think I am allergic to it. Have not tried to use rubber gloves with it. Have not had much luck with antennas. LOL
