Default E6000

I know alot of you use E6000 in your projects. I used it to adhere some small flowers to a clippie today and the smell is awful. I did it at 10 am and it still stinks. How long does it take for the smell to go away? Or is there something better to use?

Thanks for the help,

e-6000 does have an odor! So to get rid of the odor, I always work in a ventilated area! I then spray my bows with aussie hairspray. It not only helps to hold its shape, but it makes it smell better!

Have you tried just simple hot glue? I've never used the E6000 myself but I was at a craft show 2 weeks or so ago and the people next to me were using it all day. It stunk up the whole room like they were painting with no ventilation.

I used it a couple of weeks ago, and it lasted about 3 days with a window open all day the first day. I will never use it again unles i'm outside, and i can leave the item outside until it dries.

I don't smell it that much either...but it does stink a little. The quality of the glue is superior though so I'll be using it lots!

the smell remains till it cures/dries... if you are using it in a high humidity area the glue wont cure as fast...

I tend to leave things near a heater vent the dry are tends to cure it faster
I say what I want, when I want, no one pays me... Its my opinion take it or leave it

I used to use it but after reading all of the warnings about it I stopped. The smell is very strong and now that I am pregnant I do not want to take any chances. I just use my hot glue gun and make sure it is super hot.

i can tell you this... my 1 year old makes it her mission to try to rip off or peel off ANY embellishment i put on her clips or bows or ANYTHING!!! so i've been noticing that the ones I glued with e6000 are the only ones still surviving!!
