Tell me about E6000

I was at WalMart, and while not completely dissatisfied with the Jewel Glue I'm using, I decided I'd try some... but alas it's holiday craft season and they were out. (hows that for a run on sentence )

I bought some elmers super duper craft bond stuff in a tube. It starts out white, and guess what... it remains very white

Does E6000 dry clear, what's up with this stuff? Do you love it, hate it?????

E6000 is great, dries clear and all that jazz. On the down side it says on the back that it may cause cancer. That and the fact that it takes 24 hours to be "totally" dry I don't use it much. It seems dry sooner but I'm so scared of mailing something out before that 24 hours incase the glue wasn't ready.

I have never used it. Does it seem to hold better then fabric tac? Also there was a forum awhile back about magna tac....has anyone tried it....like it, hate it.?

I used the elmer's craft bond on my daughter's Halloween costume and I had to cut the embellishments off because of the white. I was not a happy girl!

I use E6000. Use in a a room that has god ventilation and you should be fine. I have problems with the tube busting open. It's happened to me 2x. Such a sticky mess!

I love E6000! It is very smelly though!

One secret to make it work even better is to put a small dab on both surfaces you are bonding and let them sit for about 1 minute. I think it makes it set up faster too.
