Brilliant Bow Maker

Ok I Ordered My Bbm And I Think Its Really Neat And Cant Wait To Use It. However, Theres Only A Few Bows To Be Made With It. Does Anyone Elsehave This Bbm And How To Do You Use It For Other Bows? Such As Pinwheel ? Etc

To make a pinwheel style bow:

1. Fold it around the template, and exagerate the two folds to the back. This is page 16, step #10. Angle the end of the ribbon slightly more to the left.

2. Page 16, step 11, angle the end of the ribbon slightly more to the right. Secure your bow and take the bow off the template.

3. Flip it over so the tails are on top. Then crease your bow from the "back". The exaggerated folds will flair the tails out to pinwheel style.

***For this style though, I generally just accordian stitch the bow, right on the template, then slide it off, cinch it and tie off.

To make a cheaters twisted boutique bow:

1. Page 56/57 steps 1 through 5. Make two opposite twists. Cut the tails off (if you want to). They will look like 2 figure 8's

2. Stack them up, and crease the center.

The true twisted boutique bow template that holds the proper angles for you will be out in the spring. It will be available to purchase as an "add on kit" for your BBM binder.

The red/pink/orange (kelly's kids combo!) bow shows it the best. The orange parts look like a twisted boutique bow by themself.

Just a question regarding this bowmaker. Does each other different type of bow going to a "purchased" type add-on? How much is each add on? I really would like to purchase the bowmaker but hate to keep having to spend more and more money to make different types of bows. I am sure it is totally worth it... I do have the TNT but wanted to try this one also.

Karyn, your PM inbox is full, so I'm posting a quick question on the current templates (which I love!)...

My medium template does not have a center mark on the back of it. On my L and XL templates it looks like the mark is slightly off center to the left (compared to the center slit for sewing), is it supposed to be that way? I'm just trying to figure out where to draw my center line on my medium template. Thanks!!

They are definitely supposed to be off center. Mathmatical thing with the difference of the last two angles.

No, the additional tips for different styles are free. The additional kit would be for the twisted boutique template - it's a totally separate kit, with an injection molded template that holds your angles and loops etc. It would be available with it's own full book, binder, templates etc.

But for the updates and info with the Brilliant Bowmaker that is available, they are all freely shared and posted.
