This is question for those who had/have used E6000... does it stink? As in, does the glue vapour irritate your nose? I am very very pregnant, and lately, glue vapour from my usual glue is irritating the heck outta me. I have been using hot glue gun, but I really need an alternative where i do not need to worry about finding a powerpoint for a quick fix of glue.

If the hot glue irritates you, E6000 certainly will - it has a very strong smell, like gasoline.

I am ok with hot glue, but the hassle of trying to find a powerpoint to plug it in for a quick glue fix is annoying. I guess I will have to hold my breath with E6000 whenever I need a quick fix!

Yeah, E6000 is really smelly. They have a cordless glue gun, but the reviews are bad.

It sticks. Don't use it if you are pregnant because there is a warning on the tube that says it causes cancers. Better safe than sorry

e6000 is pretty toxic. you need a well ventalated space to work with it. my mom uses it for her jewelry making and she has an exhoust fan built into her window just because of the fumes. im pregnant too and im using hotglue and fabri-tac and neither one has bothered me yet. altho when i get swarovski flatbacks im gonna have to use e6000 cause the stones stick better with it, so ill be sure to have the doors open and a fan going while im using it.

Oh mine! I better not use E6000 for now. I guess I will have to use glue gun for now. I try my best to use any stinky glue in a well ventilated place, but still the smells get to me. I can't even use Tacky Glue. We do not have Fabric-Tac here. I will have to make do with whatever I can find locally then.

Thanks everyone, for your input.

Some cordless glue guns don't work great- BUT mine does- it is a Thermogrip C600 and I love it!!!! it stays hot enough for me to make a good bit of bows and when it starts to get cool I just put it back on the base for a few minutes! It gets VERY HOT - maybe I'm just lucky (hard to believe though)LOL
